Internet Marketing Should Be Offered In Schools

Using the Internet to make money is an important skill that all people should acquire. Just like reading and writing and basic math, internet marketing should be taught in schools.

So many times we learn things in school that most of us will never find a practical application for in the real world. The ability to make money, from anywhere we happen to be, is a tremendous skill that can benefit every person.

If kids are taught the fundamentals of online marketing at an early age, they will often get so good at it that they can support themselves fully, before graduating high school. If this was part of the curriculum of every school system, by middle school at the latest, society would have a lot more young people who would be genuine contributors, and not detractors.

There are some profound implications that come with this. Crime rates would curtail drastically among young people. Many young people turn to crime due to economic pressures. If they could make money online every day, they wouldn’t need criminal activity. On the other hand, a lot of crime is born from low self esteem. The ability to earn income would alleviate a lot of that, as well.

There is no doubt, that a lot of children would donate a good portion of their online income to help out the family unit, especially in those cases where the parents are having a tough go of it, thanks to the economy, or getting laid off. These students would even strive to teach their parents what they know in this regard.

If their parents owned a local business, they could apply their online skills to helping people find the business when they are doing local searches. Google has replaced the Yellow Pages and decimated many other former sources for local advertising.

Businesses that are doing well today are the ones that know how to line up their listings in Google and other search engine results pages. It is pretty simple to do because these businesses are not competing with the world. They are mainly competing with similar businesses in their area.

Imagine that most students, even before they graduated high school, had attained internet marketing skills. A lot of them would be able to completely be able to pay their way through college, instead of graduating college in tremendous debt that can take them decades to pay back, with the compounded interest involved.
